Format of a Typical Chapter
Almost all chapters in this book follow a standard structure. For example, the chapter "Call Appearances" contains these sections:
- "About Call Appearances." This section provides an overview of the features the Telephone Manager provides for managing call appearances.
- "Using Call Appearances." This section describes how to manage call appearances.
- "Call Appearance Reference." This section provides a complete reference for call appearances by describing the constants, data structures, and routines you can use to manage call appearances. Each routine description also follows a standard format, which presents the routine declaration followed by a description of every parameter of the routine.
- "Call Appearance Summary." This section provides the C and Pascal interfaces for the constants, data structures, routines, and result codes associated with call appearances.
